Roma
September 27th
Our last day in Rome was long. We woke up early and went to the Vatican. It was free tourist day so we got presale tickets and was able to skip the line for the museum. After the Museum we went to the basilica. It was cool because this time we were able to see some sort of religious ceremony. Not a sermon but some kind of act. After the basilica, my mom sucked up our energy and went back to to the Spanish steps to try and find a purse for micki. Without any luck we walked back down to the Fontana di trevi, threw coins in and had our last dinner out in rome. We bought some last minute souvenirs, went back to the colesseo, then headed home. It was a long but nice last day. We spent every last euro we had and went home completely satisfied.
I have a lot of mixed feelings about going home. I’d rather be in Europe but unlike last time, I have a lot of big things happening to me once I get home. After a year of floating around and instability, im moving into an apartment, getting all my stuff and reorganizing my life. I’m moving out of Hollister and closer to family and just overall feeling really good about where my life is good. Im sad to say bye to la dolce vita but I’ excited to say hello to my new life. :)
